GIDEP is the premier source of shared Critical Information for Government and Defense related Industry contractors. GIDEP provides for the controlled exchange of information among its members so that they may learn and benefit from each other’s experiences. Through an online controlled admittance Website, GIDEP Members access GIDEP program information and GIDEP data and summaries.
GIDEP actively maintains a searchable database containing useful and purpose-focused information. The GIDEP member's search interface accepts the entry of character strings, the filtering of data types, and the setting of output parameters.
GIDEP provides Online Training Modules and conducts Webinar training events focused on the interests of Defense community professionals, in both Government and industry sectors. Regularly scheduled Webinars overview the GIDEP program and provide in-depth training in the GIDEP application process, submission and retrieval of data, and the submittal of the annual utilization reports.
Information exchanged by GIDEP is submitted, processed, retained, and accessed as various GIDEP Documents, Notice, and Report types which structure the data received into groupings that relate the information in a usable, comprehensive, and understandable manner: Failure Experience Reports, identify Nonconformances and Suspected Counterfeit circumstances. Product Information Notices, include Product Change and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages information. Government agencies submit, and access notices detailing Agency Actions carried out. GIDEP also receives and retains Metrology Data, R&M Data and Engineering data for future access in their original unedited formats.
GIDEP Membership is offered to: U.S. or Canadian industrial organizations which supply items or services (directly or indirectly) through contract to the U.S. Government or to the Canadian Department of National Defence; U.S. Government departments, agencies, or activities; and Canadian Department of National Defence or Canadian Space Agencies; Licensed U.S. Public Utilities Companies.
