Information is vital to any organization. To excel as an active part of today’s demanding and critical Defense community, getting the right information, in a timely manner, is indispensable. For over 60 years Defense Contractors and the Government Agencies they support, have depended on GIDEP to be the source of information critical to their success in developing, delivering, and obtaining the very best.
GIDEP (Government-Industry Data Exchange Program) is a cooperative activity between government and industry participants seeking to reduce or eliminate expenditures of resources by sharing technical information essential during research, design, development, production, and operational phases of the life cycle of systems, facilities, and equipment.
Since GIDEP's inception in 1959, participants have reported over $2.1 BILLION in the prevention of unplanned expenditures. That means without GIDEP, participants could have potentially realized additional expenses of over $2.1 billion. Proper utilization of GIDEP data can materially improve the total quality and reliability of systems and components during the acquisition and logistics phases of the life cycle and reduce costs in the development and manufacture of complex systems and equipment.
The GIDEP Calendar provides information on meetings, conferences, training events, and symposiums that may be of interest to the Defense community professionals, in both industry and Government sectors. These meetings may be restricted to GIDEP members.
